Ways to remove worries from our mind
SOME argue that worry is necessary and unavoidable in this competitive world. Okay, we have to be concerned about looking after our family and sustaining our business, but do we need to worry about it?
Concern and worry are two different things. The present generation has created teams of ‘worriers’ rather than a team of ‘result-oriented’ individuals who are courageous enough to go forward and solve the problems that arise.
Activity based on feelings other than peace is bound to bring a thousand thoughts with it and this is called worry. when the plans in our minds are slow to materialise, we are quick to worry.
There are methods to remove worry.
First, whenever worry shows its ugly head, we should remain in the safety of silence. Ask yourself: “What is it that is worrying me?” Then think about the worst that can happen and act to improve on it.
Secondly, keep yourself busy and shut the doors on the bitter past. Judging from the many who are stricken by heart disease, hypertension and other stress-related diseases, they are all the result of too much worry and not enough action.
Make time for reflection. Each day brings new experiences and the way you respond to those experiences creates your attitudes, habits and personality.
The world is an infinite learning ground. We are not observing the people around us to learn from them. Because of this lack of observation, we are not able to respond to the aspirations, desires and demands of people.
When we sharpen our power of observation, we can be successful in life and we will not worry too much about anything.
