Cassava bamboo shoots and Apricot Kernels

Cassava and bamboo shoots available in Australia and New Zealand are safe to eat provided you prepare them properly. These foods contain cyanogenic glycosides; chemicals that can be broken down to release hydrogen cyanide, which can be harmful to consumers.

Under the Food Standards Code cassava and bamboo shoots must be labelled with (or if unpackaged accompanied by) a statement indicating they must be fully cooked (and peeled in the case of cassava) before eating.

Cassava

Cassava is a tropical root crop similar to taro and yam and is grown for food in Pacific Island countries, South America, Asia and Africa. It has enlarged starch-filled roots, which contain about 30 per cent starch and very little protein. It is known by many names such as yucca, tapioca (in a processed form), gaplek or manioc.
Only sweet cassava, containing low levels of cyanogenic glycosides (50mg/kg), is permitted to be used for food in Australia and New Zealand.
To make cassava safe to eat, first peel and slice the cassava and then cook it thoroughly either by baking, frying, boiling or roasting. This process reduces the cyanogenic glycosides to safe levels. Frozen cassava and frozen peeled cassava should also be cooked in this way. Discard any cooking water after use.
Processed cassava products, such as cassava flour and tapioca pearls used for tapioca pudding, are safe because the cyanogenic glycosides are reduced to safe levels during manufacture. Ready-to-eat cassava chips are also safe because they are required to comply with a maximum limit of 10 mg/kg of hydrocyanic acid for these foods in the Code.

Bamboo shoots

Bamboo shoots are an Asian food sourced from the underground stems of the bamboo plant. Of the many bamboo species, only a small number are used as food.
Like cassava, unprocessed fresh bamboo shoots contain cyanogenic glycosides.
To make them safe, slice fresh bamboo shoots in half lengthwise, peel the outer leaves away and trim any fibrous tissue at the base. Then slice them thinly into strips and boil in lightly salted water for eight to ten minutes. Discard the cooking water after use.
Canned or dried bamboo shoots are widely available and are safe because processing reduces hydrogen cyanide to safe levels.

Apricot kernels (raw)

The sale of raw apricot kernels is prohibited under the Food Standards Code. This is because they contain cyanogenic glycosides that can  convert to a type of cyanide when eaten.
There have been reports of cyanide poisoning from eating raw apricot kernels in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the United Kingdom and Europe. In 2011 a person in Queensland was hospitalised after eating raw apricot kernels with high levels of cyanide. At the time, FSANZ warned consumers not to consume raw apricot kernels. Another consumer was hospitalised after eating raw apricot kernels in Western Australia in 2014.
FSANZ conducted a risk assessment on a number of foods containing cyanogenic glycosides and found only raw apricot kernels (both with and without skin) pose an acute public health and safety risk.  
Changes to the Code to prohibit the sale of raw apricot kernels were made in 2015.

Cancer Council advice 

Some raw apricot kernels are promoted as an alternative therapy for cancer treatment. However, the Cancer Council of Australia states that they are not only ineffective at treating cancer but can be very dangerous.​

What Happens When You Eat Apple Seeds?

Many a grandmother has warned her grandkids against eating "poisonous" apple seeds. Perhaps you've had the experience of accidentally swallowing a few and wondering if you'd soon fall to the floor, gasping for breath.
 
Then there are those individuals who've been eating apples whole — seeds and all — for decades with no ill effects.
 
Many did not even know there were supposed "ill effects" to speak of. Are there? This is the question of the day, and, to answer it in a nutshell, or shall I say in an apple core, there's little to be afraid of.


Apple Seeds Release Cyanide When Crushed

Apple seeds contain amygdalin, a plant compound known as a cyanogenic glycoside. It's part of the seeds' chemical defenses, but when apple seeds are chewed or crushed and metabolized, the amygdalin turns into hydrogen cyanide.

Hydrogen cyanide, in turn, is a poisonous substance that prevents your cells from using oxygen properly, leading to death within minutes at high-enough exposure levels.

It's perhaps most known for its use as a chemical warfare agent by the Germans during World War II, but it was also reportedly used during the Iran-Iraq War in the 1980s, also as a chemical weapon.

Apple seeds aren't the only food to contain cyanide precursors. Amygdalin is also found in apricot, peach and cherry pits, for instance, and much more (over 2,5000 plant species in all2).

But consuming a few apple seeds is not the same thing as being exposed to straight hydrogen cyanide, and here's why: apple seeds have a protective coating that's resistant to digestion.

If you've ever eaten whole apple seeds, you may have noticed that they pass through your body basically unharmed. The cyanide is only produced if the seeds are damaged (i.e., crushed or chewed), so swallowing a few seeds whole is likely to be of little consequence.

It's one of mother nature's ingenious protections, as the seeds' ability to produce cyanide when crushed discourages animals from chewing them, thus allowing for the whole undamaged seeds to return to the Earth and grow new apples.

While consuming the number of apple seeds in one apple (the average apple contains 5 seeds, according to the Washington State Apple Commission
3) is not cause for alarm, it is possible to be harmed by apple seeds — if you crush them and consume a large enough quantity.

Children and pets, due to their smaller size, may be at increased, though still infinitesimal, risk.

To put things in perspective, the Illinois Poison Center (IPC) blog noted that cyanide toxicity resulting from unintentional ingestion of amygdalin-containing pits, such as cherry pits, is extremely rare in the U.S., explaining:

"Realistically, the pits and seeds are more of a choking hazard than a poisoning risk. At least a couple of times a year here at IPC, we get called about a child who has ingested 10-20 cherry pits whole. These kids have done just fine and developed no symptoms at all.


… Intentional large ingestions however, have resulted in toxicity, including a few cases of ingestion of 20 [to] 40 chewed apricot pits by adults, which resulted in cyanide toxicity but no fatalities."

To look at it in more mathematical terms, 1 gram of apple seeds contains anywhere from 1 to 4 milligrams (mg) of amygdalin. If chewed, the same amount of apple seeds may turn into 0.06 to 0.24 mg of cyanide, with a lethal dose of cyanide from apricot kernels reported as being 0.5 to 3.5 mg/kg body weight.

As Authority Nutrition noted, "The exact lethal dose of apple seeds varies widely. It depends on body weight, individual tolerance and the type of apple." They offered the following table as a guide to how many apple seeds (crushed) could potentially be fatal:7

Laetrile, Purported Cancer Treatment, Is Made From Amygdalin

As an aside, the same compound that makes apple seeds questionable — amygdalin — has been used to make the patented
anti-cancer drug Laetrile.

Cyanide is believed to be the active cancer-toxic ingredient in Laetrile, also known as Amigdalina B-17 or vitamin B17 (although there is very little evidence it warrants classification as a vitamin).

By 1978, it was estimated that more than 70,000 Americans had tried it — despite its being banned in the U.S. since 1963. Most people obtain Laetrile from Tijuana clinics, as the agent is still legal in Mexico.
8 Some have also tried to make their own anti-cancer treatment by consuming crushed apricot seeds, which can be dangerous.

New York's Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center's highly respected cancer scientist Kanematsu Sugiura found that Laetrile significantly reduced the spread of lung cancer in mice,
9 but the cancer research center reportedly brushed positive Laetrile studies under the rug, bowing to politics and conflicts of interest.

You're More Likely to Get Cyanide Poisoning From Cassava Than Apple Seeds


Cassava is a tropical root plant used in Asia, Africa and South America because it's plentiful and inexpensive. It has some notable nutritional benefits, as does tapioca, a digestive-resistant starch that's extracted from this root.

What cassava has to do with apple seeds is that they both contain cyanogenic glycosides, cassavas' being a different type than that found in apples.

Cassava roots contain the toxic compound linamarin, which converts to hydrogen cyanide. Improper cooking of cassava root is associated with
cyanide poisoning, which can cause symptoms of vomiting, nausea, dizziness, stomach pains, headache, irreversible paralysis from a disease called konzo10 and even death.

Cassava should not be eaten raw, however, if the cassava are peeled and cooked, toxic substances are removed. It should be noted that the tapioca you buy at the store or prepare from a package does not contain harmful cyanide levels, so it's perfectly safe to eat.


What's the Healthiest Part of an Apple?

While the debate rages on over whether apples should be consumed whole—core, seeds and all — what's not controversial is the importance of eating the peel, where much of apples' antioxidant power is contained.
11 Apple peels also contain ursolic acid, which may help prevent age-related and illness-related muscle wasting.12

Since you'll be eating the peel, look for organic apples, which will be free from pesticides and other chemicals. Apples are one of the most pesticide-contaminated fruits there is, so if you're planning to eat more apples, make them organic. In addition, a wealth of research suggests that eating apples may impact your health in a number of beneficial ways

• Brain Health: Apples have been found to protect neuron cells against oxidative stress-induced neurotoxicity and may play an important role in reducing the risk of neurodegenerative disorders, such as Alzheimer's disease.

• Stroke: Eating apples is linked to a decreased risk of stroke.14

• Diabetes: Three servings of apples (and other fruits, such as blueberries and grapes) is linked to a 7 percent lower risk of type 2 diabetes.15 This may be due to their beneficial role in blood sugar regulation, as apples contain compounds that may:16


• Lessen absorption of glucose from your digestive tract

• Stimulate beta cells in your pancreas to secrete insulin

• Increase uptake of glucose from your blood by stimulating insulin receptors

• Cancer: Apples have a number of properties that may help reduce the risk of cancer, including antimutagenic activity, antioxidant activity, anti-inflammatory mechanisms, antiproliferative and apoptosis-inducing activity, as well as "novel mechanisms on epigenetic events and innate immunity." According to the journal Planta Medica:

"Apple products have been shown to prevent skin, mammary and colon carcinogenesis in animal models. Epidemiological observations indicate that regular consumption of one or more apples a day may reduce the risk for lung and colon cancer."

• Heart Disease: Eating apples is associated with a lower risk of death from heart disease, an association that's thought to be related to their content of antioxidant flavonoids.

Why Else Should You Eat Apples?

Apples contain a wealth of nutrients and antioxidants, including quercetin, which is known to fight cancer and prevent histamine release, the latter of which may be helpful against allergy symptoms. Interestingly, children born to women who eat apples during pregnancy are also less likely to have asthma at age 5.

"Since apples are so high in antioxidants, it is no surprise that apples, specifically, are associated with a decreased risk of chronic disease. Three studies have specifically linked apple consumption with a decreased risk for cancer … [and] a study has shown that apple and pear consumption has been associated with a decreased risk of asthma.

Apple consumption has also been associated with a decreased risk of coronary heart disease … [and] a reduced risk of Type II diabetes was associated with apple and berry consumption in another major Finnish study.

In the laboratory, apples and the compounds in them have properties that may explain their effects in protecting against disease. Our lab has found that apples, and especially apple peels, have powerful antioxidant activity and can greatly inhibit the growth of liver cancer and colon cancer cells. Based on results from all of these studies, it appears that apples may play a significant role in reducing the risk of a wide variety of diseases."

Despite their healthy attributes, apples are a relatively high-fructose fruit, with 9.5 grams in a medium-sized apple. They should, therefore, be consumed in moderation. In addition,
apple juice will contain considerably more, which is why you're far better off eating apples in their whole — not juiced — form. As for consuming the seeds, as mentioned, the amount contained in your average apple is virtually harmless.

Foods Rich in Vitamin B17

Vitamin B17, or laetrile, is called the anti-cancer vitamin. It is an alternative treatment for cancer. Vitamin B17 works to reduce tumors and prevent metastasis or the spread of the cancer to other parts of the body. It kills cancer cells, strengthens the immune system and prevents cancer cells from developing in the future, this according to Cancer Tutor. Foods with a high content of Vitamin B17 are called nitrilosides. They include a variety of seeds, grains and nuts and sprouts and tubers as well as leaves and beans.
 

Seeds

The apricot seed is the richest source of Vitamin B17. The kernel of the apricot can be cracked open to get to the seed. Other fruits with seeds rich with Vitamin B17 are peaches and plums as well as the seeds in cherries, prunes and nectarines. The tiny seeds in apples, grapes and those in berries, such as, strawberries, raspberries and blackberries, elderberries and wild crabapples are high in Vitamin B17. Keep in mind when purchasing bottled fruit preserves that the ones with seeds are also a good a source of Vitamin B17.

Grains and Nuts

Grains like millet, buckwheat and barley and flax are good sources. Nuts like bitter almonds, cashew nuts and macadamia nuts are excellent sources of Vitamin B17.
 

Sprouts and Tubers

Bamboo sprout contains a high amount of Vitamin B17 while alfalfa, fava and garbanzo and mung sprouts have medium range amounts. Tubers like yams, sweet potatoes and cassava are foods with a good supply of Vitamin B17. 
 

Leaves and Beans

Leaves that are rich sources of Vitamin B17 include alfalfa, beet greens and spinach, watercress and eucalyptus. Beans that are good sources include black-eyed peas, black beans and green peas and lima beans, kidney beans as well as lentils. These leaves and beans may be prepared as healthy side dishes or used for making soups.
 

Considerations

In addition to the Vitamin B17 content of these seeds, grains and nuts, sprouts and tubers and leaves, they are also rich in other vitamins and minerals, Omega-3 and antioxidants. According to RS Pharmchem there is no data showing any problems caused by not having Vitamin B17, however, theoretically, a deficiency could increase the likelihood of developing cancer.

Big pharma can't allow cancer or any other disease to be cured because they will lose their business of drugs, pills and all the illness causing products they make and distribute to the dis-eased. Plus the elite need people to be sick and die to depopulate the world. Curing cancer has no benefit to them whatsoever even though the cure has been made and known for decades. Medicinal herbs and other forms of plants are known to be beneficial in eliminating cancer.

It sounds almost too good to be true: a cheap and simple drug that kills almost all cancers by switching off their immortality. The drug, dichloroacetate (DCA), has already been used for years to treat rare metabolic disorders and so is known to be relatively safe.

It also has no patent, meaning it could be manufactured for a fraction of the cost of newly developed drugs.

Evangelos Michelakis of the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada, and his colleagues tested DCA on human cells cultured outside the body and found that it killed lung, breast and brain cancer cells, but not healthy cells. Tumours in rats deliberately infected with human cancer also shrank drastically when they were fed DCA-laced water for several weeks.

DCA attacks a unique feature of cancer cells: the fact that they make their energy throughout the main body of the cell, rather than in distinct organelles called mitochondria. This process, called glycolysis, is inefficient and uses up vast amounts of sugar.

Until now it had been assumed that cancer cells used glycolysis because their mitochondria were irreparably damaged. However, Michelakiss experiments prove this is not the case, because DCA reawakened the mitochondria in cancer cells. The cells then withered and died (Cancer Cell).

Michelakis suggests that the switch to glycolysis as an energy source occurs when cells in the middle of an abnormal but benign lump dont get enough oxygen for their mitochondria to work properly (see diagram). In order to survive, they switch off their mitochondria and start producing energy through glycolysis.

Crucially, though, mitochondria do another job in cells: they activate apoptosis, the process by which abnormal cells self-destruct. When cells switch mitochondria off, they become immortal, outliving other cells in the tumour and so becoming dominant. Once reawakened by DCA, mitochondria reactivate apoptosis and order the abnormal cells to die.

The results are intriguing because they point to a critical role that mitochondria play:

they impart a unique trait to cancer cells that can be exploited for cancer therapy, says Dario Altieri, director of the University of Massachusetts Cancer Center in Worcester.

The phenomenon might also explain how secondary cancers form. Glycolysis generates lactic acid, which can break down the collagen matrix holding cells together. This means abnormal cells can be released and float to other parts of the body, where they seed new tumours.

DCA can cause pain, numbness and gait disturbances in some patients, but this may be a price worth paying if it turns out to be effective against all cancers. The next step is to run clinical trials of DCA in people with cancer. These may have to be funded by charities, universities and governments: pharmaceutical companies are unlikely to pay because they cant make money on unpatented medicines. The pay-off is that if DCA does work, it will be easy to manufacture and dirt cheap.

Apricot seed kernels are used in the fight against cancer. The kernels contain Vitamin B17, and Vitamin B17 is used in medication to counter cancer. This letter is about how manioc, which also contains Vitamin B17, has the potential to combat cancer.

My story starts with a cancer I developed seven years ago. A cystoscopy revealed transitional cell cancer. The kidney, ureter and a little part of the bladder where the ureter enters the bladder were surgically removed. I was given radiation treatment, and I remained in good health over the next seven years (I was examined once a year). My bladder was cancer-free until November 2009. That month I started passing blood. Another cystoscopy was done, and a polypoidal growth close to the bladder neck was removed. The biopsy this time again revealed transitional cell cancer.

I had read on world without cancer.org that manioc – also known as cassava or tapioca – has a high B17 component. For a whole month following the removal of the polypoidal growth in the bladder, I ate manioc daily, usually twice a day. A cystoscopy done a month later showed that the bladder was completely symptom-free. I felt very well.
Was my wellbeing the result of the cancer-fighting properties of manioc’s Vitamin B17? It would be wonderful, I thought, if a test group of cancer patients used manioc in order to confirm that manioc really does have the ability to fight cancer, as it seemed to have done in my case.

Here is what happens when a cancer patient eats manioc:

Once the manioc is consumed, the manioc’s Vitamin B17 combines in the normal human cell with an enzyme called Rhodanese, which breaks down the B17 into three sugars. The cancer cell, which is an immature cell, has a different enzyme, beta-glucosidase, which breaks the B17 into glucose, benzaldehyde and hydrocyanic acid. The hydrocyanic acid acts like an LTTE cyanide capsule, killing the cancer cell.

I appeal to all cancer patients to try the manioc solution. If it works, it could be a great discovery for cancer patients around the world, especially those living in the tropics of Asia, Africa and the Americas, where manioc / cassava / tapioca grows and is freely available.

Please note that there are precautions to be taken in the preparation of manioc.

1. Never, repeat never, eat ginger with manioc, or even after consuming manioc. If you have been eating manioc, do not take any form of ginger or ginger products, such as ginger beer and ginger-nut biscuits. The serious risks of mixing ginger with manioc are well known in Sri Lanka.

2. When preparing manioc for eating, check whether the tuber shows a blue line when peeled for cooking. If there is a blue line, the manioc must be rejected. Manioc has cyanide in it and the blue line is an indication of cyanide emergence.

3. Cook manioc in an earthenware pot. Fill the pot with water to completely cover the manioc, and well above the level of the manioc. When boiling, keep the pot open. Do not close the pot with a lid. Once the manioc is boiled, throw away the water in the pot.

My wonder drug for cancer

Please let me share my happy experience with you. I wrote about it in February 2010 but now with added knowledge I write with many other peoples' experience.

My experience

I developed secondary bladder cancer after seven years following cancer in the ureter. My kidney, ureter and part of the bladder was removed. I had radiation to the abdomen there after. It was transitional cell carcinoma of the ureter. I was hale and hearty for seven years and during this period I had yearly examinations of the bladder by the fantastic surgeon who did the surgery at General Hhospital Colombo.

In the seventh year I experienced blood in the urine as I had developed a growth in the bladder. It was once again transitional cell carcinoma (Cancer). The new growth was removed but what if it recurred? While I was convalescing I came to know of a treatment by eating Apricot seed kernel that was being used in Australia and USA without any chemotherapy. In a nutshell, how it acts on the cancer is thus. The apricot seed kernel has a substance called Vitamin B17, which was discovered by a British doctor who worked in a remote region in Afghanistan as a missionary. He found the people of the area measured their riches according to the number of Apricot trees they owned. They ate not only the apricots but also the apricot seed kernels. The apricot seed kernel looks like an almond in shape, size and smell. This is also known as the "bitter almond." The doctor discovered that people of the region did not suffer from cancer. After investigating the doctor found that the seed kernel contained a substance, which has been given the name Vitamin B17.

As I was having cancer I was curious about any food, which had B17 in our regular food. I found by browsing on the internet that manioc also had a large concentration of Vitamin B17. So I also ate the manioc minimum of 10 grams three times a day. Having consumed it for 1 month I underwent examination of my bladder (cystoscopy) at the General Hospital by the same surgeon. He was surprised that my bladder was absolutely clean and normal. "Tthere was no place to take any biopsy" was his very words to me.

While I was taking the manioc I was feeling very fit and well and people around me notice that I looked well.

Armed with the examination results of the bladder examination I published my story for well-being of all cancer patients in Sri Lanka.

Since then every three months I have gone for examination of the bladder under the same surgeon and every time my bladder was clear. Uptil now I have not taken any treatment other than eating the manioc.

In a more simplistic way I would like to explain how the Vitamin B17 in the manioc acts. The scientific name of vitamin B17 is Amagadolin. We know that cancer cells are immature cells and it has a different enzyme to the normal cell enzyme.

When the Vitamin B17 combines with a normal cell enzyme it breaks down into 3 sugars but when it combines with the cancer cell enzyme it breaks into 1 sugar 1 benzaldehyde and 1 hydrocyanic acid. The hydrocyanic acid kills the cancer cell locally.

What happens is that there is a substance called B17 in the apricot seed kernel (and in manioc), which when combined with a normal cell enzyme breaks down into three sugars.

When B17 combines with a cancer cell (an immature cell) it breaks down into one sugar, one benzaldehyde and one hydrocyanic acid. The hydrocyanic acid kills the cancer cell.


Others' experiences


I have been receiving frequent information from people with cancer who have read my first article about their experiences with the usage of manioc. I would like to share this information with you readers.

Mr. Perera is an 70-year-old gent who was diagnosed with prostate cancer. His wife is a retired Matron of the General Hospital. Mrs Perera read my article and had decided to try the manioc treatment because of the following reasons. The oncologist he was consulting had prescribed a tablet costing Rs. 2000/ daily and an injection that cost him Rs. 11000, which he had to have weekly.

As retired pensioners this was too much to afford. Also Mr. Perera who took the tablets and the injections for a few days refused to take it as it was making him very sick. Hearing of his illness his daughter came from USA to look after him and the daughter and his wife decided to feed him manioc instead of the tablets and injections that were prescribed. When he went on the manioc diet in a week he showed signs of wellness and after eating every morning a large breakfast of manioc for a month they took a test that he was to take after taking the tablets and injections and went to see the oncologist. He took with him the results of the PSA blood test.

Ever since he was diagnosed with the cancer the PSA test results were 280-290 but after 1 month of eating manioc it was now down to PSA 5.89! Then they came to see me too and showed me the PSA results of before and after. This gentleman (Mr. Perera) is not showing any cancer symptoms and they call me regularly to say that he is now hale and hearty.

Another gentleman who had a liver cancer had surgery in Sri Lanka but a little spot of cancer was left behind according to the subsequent MRI scan.

He then was told to go and have a detailed MRI scan done in India at a very high cost.

He started to take manioc soon after liver cancer surgery. When he did go for the detailed MRI scan in India his Oncologist in India, after examination, informed him that he did not need to undergo any surgery or treatment because the spot had not enlarged for a whole year.

He was asked to continue as before. He came and met me and he looks a picture of health now.

I am very interested and encouraged by the feedback I am getting all the time from people who call me to tell their story. Especially as the exorbitant prices of the anti cancer drugs don't also offer a cure. My cousin who grew up next door had cancer before I knew about the manioc. She spent Rs. 40-50,000 for each injection, suffered phenomenally and died a miserable death. (Those of you who watch HBO on the Dialog TV may have seen a film titled "Death Be Not Proud" which depicts the sufferings of a cancer patient undergoing chemotherapy. That patient died). So I thought I must promote these experiences, give them publicity.

No fancy drug companies have done super duper tests on Vitamin B17 on manioc, why not try it? It is cheap, easy to obtain, easy to cook and very tasty and you will be well and not have side effects. So for what more can you ask? As we all know manioc can kill if the preparation is not done correctly. Please take the following precautions in preparation.

A. When choosing a yam to be cooked make sure the yam does not have any blemishes or discoloured areas. And try to buy freshly harvested manioc

B. When boiling keep the pot open throughout the cooking. This helps the excess hydrocyanicacid to evaporate.

C. Keep excess water for the boil and pour it out after boiling the yam.

D. Do not consume ginger or food containing ginger such as ginger biscuits, ginger beer, gingerale for at least 8 hours after consuming manioc.

Cancer fighting strategies

You don't see doctors jumping up and down about the healing benefits of sunshine. In the world of natural medicine, we have natural strategies that are far safer and effective than the most miraculous cancer drug the pharmaceutical industry has ever come up with.

The people talking about this drug say it is amazing because it only kills cancer cells without damaging the healthy cells. So does vitamin B17. If you eat apricot kernels, you get the same thing. Apricot kernels contain a medicine (laetrile) that selectively poisons cancer cells. However, that's something you should talk to your naturopath about, because it does contain a form of organic cyanide that someone could overdose on it if they ate an entire bag of apricot kernels. I eat apricot kernels every once in while just to have a little variation in my diet, and you can bet I don't have any cancer tumors.
