Stress can lead to depression |
Stress, whether it occurs at home or work, can lead to depression.
Smoking and drinking may seem to help in the short term but ultimately these activities will affect your health adversely.
However, there is another way to tackle stress which does not require anything but a little will power. Take these simple steps to regain control of your life.
1. Be assertive. remember we all have the right to say no to things we don’t like.
2. Manage your time. Instead of trying to do too much and getting worried write a list and tackle one thing at a time. But be realistic about your targets and don’t forget to take regular food and rest breaks.
3. recharge. Make time to enjoy some exercise or wander round a gallery.
4. Focus on breathing. Taking a few deep breaths when feeling stressed helps to calm you down.
