Health Benefits of bananas
While bananas have always been associated with monkeys, and apples with doctors, the truth is that they are both just as beneficial to one’s health. These are benefits that can change one’s life whether they are woman, child or man, and so here is a list of benefits that pertain not only to the physical aspect of one’s health but also the mental as well:
Benefit #1: Minor Burns and wounds
If one has wounds that are due to burns that are minor in nature, this fruit can help relieve the pain that these wounds cause while healing. The best way to do this is to mash the banana and use a paper towel or cloth to wrap it up and then place it on the affected area.
Benefit #2: Energy
Since bananas have three sugars such as sucrose, fructose and glucose, eating this fruit will ensure that these sugars will give your body a lot of energy.
Benefit #3: PMS
As this fruit contains high levels of vitamin B6, this regulates the blood sugar levels in one’s body, women who are normally moody while experiencing pains as well during PMS can also benefit from eating bananas.
Benefit #4: Depression
Bananas have been known to give one a natural high due to substances such as tryptophan, norepinephrine, serotonin and vitamin B. Most of these nutrients help to calm one’s mind and relax, thus working as an excellent way to combat depression.
Benefit #5: Blood Pressure
It is well-known that high levels of sodium can cause conditions pertaining to high blood pressure as well as heart disease as well, but since bananas have the nutrient known as potassium, this helps to lower blood pressure as well as reduce the risk of one getting heart disease as well.
Benefit #6: Ulcers
Bananas are considered to be one of the few foods that an ulcer patient can eat without suffering pain, and the reason for this is lowers the level of acidity in the gastric juices that are present in one’s stomach as well as build a protective coating inside the stomach.
